NEW MOON TOMORROW IN SPAIN!

Yes people New Moon, the second part of the Twilight Saga will arrive to the big screen on November the 20th, but in Spain and France we´re going to be able to enjoy it two days before, in November the 18th!

The reason for that advantage?
I don´t know; some people have said that it is some kind of gift to the spanish and french fans for they devotion, but I doupt it since the devotion for that saga is enourmous everywhere. Really when I see those girls yelling in ecstasy I have some kind of Beatlemania flasback, even I was not born yet by then!

Although I´m 21 (too old for that kind of stories)and very special about roamntic tales I really enjoy the books. Okay, they are not masterpices of literature, but they are really good, nice and adictive. I was very reluctant about reading them, but in a couple of minutes I just end loving the characters, the love story, and the funny and ironic moments and dialogues

AND WHAT ABOUT THE FILMS?

Well, I can´t talk about New Moon, but the first was Good. I still prefer the books because I think the film fails a little bit on catching that funny, romantic and sexual tension that have the convesations between Edward and Bella. The film really gets well a big part of the nature of Edward and Bella relationship, but not the dialogues, not that spark in their conversations. It´s like in that aspect the books were a little bit more mature. But, as I said I´m not going to say that the film was not good because it was.

So, well tomorrow we could see the premiere here in spain, although maybe I wait till Friday to avoid the Twilightmania and give to the youth their space! God, I end talking like my grandmother!

HOUSE WITHOUT CAMERON

A couple of months ago we discovered that Jenipher Morrison, who plays Allison Cameron in House MD (Fox) is going to leave the show

In this case the actress did not quit; her exit was a creative decision on the part of producers, and the news have been a bomb arround the fans, given that Cameron, who was one of the show´s orinal characters, became a secundary character after season 3, and we have been waiting to see her in a full mode again almost the last two seasons. In fact the news were too surpraising, since David Shore (The creator of the show) said in August "Chase and Cameron fans will be happy with the way we’re going to reintegrate them into the team" .

The Cameron´s final episode, Teamwork, was aired yesterday, and unlike Kal Penn´s Kutner, she´s not been killed off, so the producers are leaving the door open for Morrison to make a guest appearance later in the season. Morrison’s on-screen husband, Jesse Spencer (Chase), is not leaving the show.

I have been a big House fan since season 1 and even I love all the characters Cameron was one of my favourites. Honestly I thik that the role of a "opposite pole from House " that she plays was too good for the dinamic of the show.

I din´t know why the producers took such a decision over a so beloved character, but maybe was because in this moment there are too much characters on the show, I don´t know but I think it´s a wrong decision and we are going to miss her a lot.

To express my oppinion on that matter I would quote Michael Ausiello words: "This kind of sucks"
In my oppinion always sucks when a good and interesting original character have to leave the show due to the ___ Producers, like for example Torri Higginson (Elizabeth Weir) on SGA .

But anyway, if someone wants to support Jennifer Morrison return to House:

House Cameron LiveJournal Community: community.livejournal.com/house_cameron/3462923.html

Pro Cameron Site: http://wesupportjen.webs.com

Wounded-hearts Site in support of Jennifer : http://www.wounded-hearts.net/

Facebook "We support jen": http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=175873766728&ref=nf

So in that case I did it, with the plus that I went to watch them for a second time, you know the first with my friends and the second with my family.

In the case of Wolverine I should say that I´m not a complete authority in the comics, so I don´t think I should judge the differences between the movies and the comic. Don´t get me wrong, I LOVE the comics, but I only have had the chance to read a few.

So, talking only about the movie, the first I want to say is that, from my point of view neither X- Men III or Wolverine are at the same level of X Men I & II. Those first two films are more than a Heroes Movies or Action Movies, these films are a good piece of SciFi movies, smart and well developed with a good Dramatic tension, without forgetting having their dose of action and entertaining.

And maybe that is what needs X Men Origins Wolverine, less action and more argument, developing and atmosphere of Science Fiction. But in general I have enjoyed the movie, a LOT in fact. It results entertaining, very well done and give us the opportunity to see some of our favorite characters from the comics. AND, of course, it´s an opportunity to see Hugh Jackman, who is one of my favorite actors since I was 13 and a awesome GOOD Looking man.

I have read in some newspaper review that maybe the film suffers from a film “disease” very common in our days that made the film argument go so fast, so the narrative suspense is not well developed. And I have to agree with that opinion, maybe going a little bit slower in the introducing and developing of the argument would had been good to the final impression, you know, give us time between one argument and the next.

But as I have said I think it´ s a good movie, and among the good parts (besides the good ones that I have said before) I totally enjoyed the initial credits (one of the best that I have ever seen), the good job of the cast (especially Schreiber, Jackman and Monahan), the good way in which the end connects with the others X Men movies, some spectacular action scenes (like the persecution with the Bike) and some scenes, like the one with Bolt as a fairground attraction. This last scene in particular is one of those scenes that we could have expect in x Men I & II, one of those scenes that made us to have a connection with the characters, one of that factors that I was referring to when I said that more character and dramatic tension would made us more involved in the fate of those characters.

So, kids, in conclusion a GOOD movie about one of my favorite fandoms, that just need pull out some impureness. Of course when it comes on DVD I´m going to be one of the firsts to buy it, and now that I stop to think on that, maybe my totally Love for Hugh Jackman (specially when he plays Wolverine) and my affection for the X-Men fandom made impossible for me to be pointless!!

STAR TREK:

Well, well, well. After those and among the middle I had the feeling that the movie was a little bit lost, without knowing very well where to go, you know diffuse, but as long as it progress it takes more sense and direction and finally gets much better.

If you think on that movie as the first part of a new movie series, the whole physiognomy of the movie takes more sense, and you end thinking in it as a first part, as a more introductory and establishing the basis movie.

Beside those moments when I felt the “lack of Direction”, the film has lots of good parts:

The reintroduction of those characters that we have loved for so long, the exploration of the beginnings of those myths that are some scenes, relationships and sentences in Star Trek ( McCoy ´s grumblings or his friendship with Kirk) and the opportunity to enjoy an evening watching this good traditional Science Fiction that never gets old, you know: Elegant futuristic atmospheres and sets, planets in risk that have to been saved, advanced and cool technology, an enemy with revenge motivations, victim of the circumstances that had turn him to the dark side and personal dramas and character arcs. In that last aspect I really enjoy the old (and at the same time new) way that the character of Spook is developed. I have said old, because the dilemma between his human and vulcanian part have been already explored in the old films and Tv show, but, in my opinion, new at the same time because it has never had the importance and the direction (pushing him more to the human part) that it has had in that movie.

In general a film that maybe needs a second view to erase that feeling of diffuseness, but a good film in general. I´m really expecting more parts!

Compulsive Reading.."

Michael Crichton passed away a few months ago, and though his work has had detractors, I can´t avoid calling myself a fan of his novels, because in my opinion they have given to The Science Fiction a serious and scientific side.

Well, I recomend the book to everyone who enjoy the adventure and SciFi tales.

Brad Wright has also confirmed that the movie is going to be a O´Neill centric film.

Given the sucess of the two previous movies we shouldn´t be very surprised, but we can´t avoid being happy.

I have been a fan of SG1 since I was 10, so I had my doubts about the first movies, but the truth is that The Ark of Truth and Continuum are totally amazing. That plus the fact that is going to be a O´Neill film makes me totally jubilant !

In the other hand we are not going to forget that when MGM anuncied the Cancellation of SGA they almost assured us that the show is going to continue in a movie format, so we are waiting for a SGA movie too.

Joseph Mallozzi has said that MGM still has a very intention of producing the SGA movie, so we have hope!

Icon by Staring at the Sea.
